A toran for the main door: a top band of mango leaves with short marigold strands hanging below, tied to a cord with loops at each end. The 3 ft width fits most single doors; choose 4 ft for a wider frame.

How it is used: Diwali, Navaratri, Ugadi, Pongal and Sankranti, griha pravesam (house-warming) and Satyanarayana pooja.

What you receive: One toran in the width you choose, rolled in a bag for carrying home.

Care & handling

Hang it in shade if you can; direct sun and heaters dry flowers and leaves quickly. Before hanging, keep it in its bag in a cool place. Mango leaves stay green longer than flowers, so many families leave the leaves up after the flowers are taken down.
