These terms apply when you use this website or buy from Spice Town Flowers, an online store operated by Spice Town LLC, 378 Kelly Rd, Vernon, CT 06066 ("we", "us"). By using the site or placing an order, you agree to them. We've tried to keep them short and in plain English.

1. Our products are natural and perishable

We sell fresh flowers, flower strings, garlands and leaves. They are natural products, so color, size, shape, fragrance and how open the blooms are will vary from batch to batch and from the product pictures and descriptions. Pictures (currently illustrations) show the type of product, not the exact flowers you'll receive. Flowers and leaves are perishable and change from day to day.

2. Pooja use, not food

Our flowers and leaves are sold for worship, decoration and wearing, not for eating. Some flowers, including arali (oleander) and erukkam (calotropis), are toxic. They are for pooja use only. Not for eating. Keep them away from children and pets. If you have allergies or sensitivities to flowers, pollen or strong fragrances, please take care when choosing and handling products.

3. Prices

Our online prices come from our store prices at Spice Town and may change at any time, for example as flower costs change. The price that applies to your order is the price shown at checkout when you place it. Applicable sales tax is added at checkout. If a price is clearly wrong because of an error, we may cancel the order and refund you, and we'll let you know.

4. Orders and availability

Placing an order is an offer to buy. We accept it when we prepare your order for pickup. We share stock with our physical store, so items can occasionally sell out after you order. If we can't supply an item, we'll contact you; with your agreement we may offer a substitute, otherwise we'll remove the item and refund it. We may decline or cancel an order, for example if an item is unavailable, a price is wrong or we suspect fraud. If we cancel, we refund what you paid for the cancelled items.

5. Payment

Online orders are paid in full at checkout through Shopify's secure checkout, using the payment methods shown there. We don't see or store your full card details.

6. Pickup

At this time, all online orders are for pickup at Spice Town, 378 Kelly Rd, Vernon, CT 06066, on the date you choose at checkout. The dates offered depend on the items in your cart, our preparation times and festival dates. Please pick up during store hours on your chosen date, and check your order before you leave. Responsibility for the flowers passes to you when you collect them. See our pickup page.

We don't ship orders at this time. If we start shipping, these terms and our shipping policy will be updated.

7. Custom garlands and bulk orders

Custom, wedding and temple garlands, and bulk or temple orders, are requested through our forms or by phone. Sending a request doesn't create an order or a commitment on either side. An order exists only once we've confirmed the design, quantity, price, payment and pickup time with you. Handmade garlands may differ from reference photos in color, fullness and flower size.

8. Returns, replacements and cancellations

Because our products are perishable, problems must be raised at pickup or by phone on the day of pickup. See our returns and replacements policy for details.

9. Using our website

Please use this site only for lawful purposes. Don't try to interfere with how it works, access it in unauthorized ways, or submit false orders or requests. The text, design and images on this site belong to us or our licensors, and you may not copy them for commercial use without permission.

10. Information on the site

Our guides about flowers, festivals and customs are offered as general, helpful information. Traditions vary by region, community and family, so please follow your own family's or temple's practice. Care tips are general handling advice, not a promise of how long flowers will last.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order, and we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have that can't be limited under applicable law.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Connecticut.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page when you place an order applies to that order.
