Every online order is picked up at Spice Town in Vernon, Connecticut. Here is how it works, from the cart to the counter.

Choosing your pickup date

  1. Add items to your cart.
  2. In the cart, choose Pickup and pick a date. The calendar only shows dates that work for every item in your cart.
  3. Check out and pay. Your confirmation email repeats your pickup date.

A few things affect which dates you'll see:

  • Stock items such as strings, loose flowers and leaves usually need about a day to prepare, so the earliest date is often tomorrow.
  • Preorder items show their own lead time on the product page.
  • Festival items can only be picked up on the festival dates listed for them.
  • If two items in your cart have dates that don't overlap, the cart tells you which item is causing the conflict, so you can remove it or place it as a separate order.

When to come in

Come any time during store hours on your pickup date. Hours can change on holidays and during festival weeks, so please call ahead if you plan to come early or late in the day. If you need to change your pickup day, call us at 860-237-4280 as early as you can.

What to bring

  • Your order number (it starts with # and is in your confirmation email) or the name on the order.
  • A bag or box for the drive home, if you'd like. Flowers travel more comfortably out of direct sun and away from a hot dashboard.
  • If someone else is collecting for you, give them the order number and the name on the order.

At the counter

We'll bring out your order. Please take a moment to look it over before you leave: check the items, sizes and quantities, and how the flowers look. If anything isn't right, tell us right there so we can sort it out. See our returns and replacements policy.

Getting flowers home

  • Head home soon after pickup if you can, especially on warm days. Strings and loose flowers wilt quickly in a hot car.

Garland and bulk orders

Custom garlands and bulk or temple orders are also picked up here, at the time we agree when we call you. Start with the custom garland request or the bulk and temple order form.
