About Spice Town Flowers

Spice Town Flowers is the online flower counter of Spice Town, at 378 Kelly Rd in Vernon, Connecticut. Families from across the area stop in for a string of jasmine before a pooja, a lotus for a Friday prayer, or a bundle of banana leaves for a festival meal. This site lets you choose those same flowers online, pay securely, and pick them up at the store on the day you choose.

What we carry

Our range follows what we stock at the store, so it changes with the season and with what arrives. Most weeks you will find:

  • Flower strings such as jasmine (malli) and mullai, sold by length and tied from buds that open over the day. Browse flower strings.
  • Loose flowers including lotus, button roses, paneer roses, sampangi (tuberose) and arali, sold by weight or by the flower, plus erukkam for Ganesh Chaturthi. Browse loose flowers and lotus.
  • Leaves and pooja essentials: betel leaves (paan), banana leaves, mango leaves, tulasi and maruvam. Browse leaves.

How ordering works today

At launch, every order is picked up at Spice Town in Vernon. When you check out, you choose a pickup date, and we have your order ready at the counter. We are not shipping flowers yet. Fresh flowers are delicate, and we would rather start shipping only once we have tested our packing properly. When shipping begins, we will say so on this site and in our shipping policy.

Garlands made for your occasion

A garland for a deity at home, a temple festival or a wedding exchange is a personal thing. Size, flowers, colors and the date all matter. That is why we take garland orders as requests: you tell us what you have in mind, and we call you to confirm what is possible, the price and the pickup time. Please give us at least a week's notice. Use the custom garland request form, or for larger temple and community orders, the bulk and temple order form.

Honest about flowers

Flowers and leaves are natural and perishable. Color, size and how open the blooms are vary from batch to batch, and we will not pretend otherwise. We encourage you to look over your order at pickup and talk to us right there if anything is not right.
